Sunday morning is a possibility if I get out early enough. I have to take my dad to the hospital early afternoon and not sure if the missus has any hijack plans yet. I'll try and confirm later. If the weather's crap and Micklefield is ruled out I doubt I'll have chance to get to the Works.

Might well be up for a bit of that, might need a brush & dustpan for Micklefield though :)

A brush will be needed, it's quite leafy in the middle bowl. I managed a short session there last Friday and someone has been round and filled all the holes in the concrete. I'm guessing it wasn't the council, but there appears to be a guardian out there who has done some maintenance, it wasn't massively bad and I skated round the debris due to not having the foresight to take a brush.

I guess, check the weather first thing and if it looks ok I think Micklefield is the best option for me. I'll have to be away earlyish (not later than 11) so a works session doesn't really make sensefor me. It's reasonably dry out just now and there doesn't seem to be any rain forecast so outside is a possibility.

Unless anyone has any other ideas?

I was going with out, but Harry has just texted saying the flats are wet and too wet to skate. Dunno at the moment as I'm getting marital grief because it's some kind of day or other.

Yes this has pissed on our chips again, despite it not having rained for around 24 hours.

It was quite pleasant actually. Slight breeze and cool but there was some warmth in the sun. Had it been dry it would have been lovely for skating.

I like the idea of rock city. I've not been before and have been promising myself a trip there for a while. If you have any other preference I'll be happy to fall in with you.

It's about 1 hr 10 - 15 mins ish travel time opens at 10am getting there just before 10 would be a good move, as you also have to fill out a disclaimer form as well before you can go in, so 8:30 - 45 ish?

Anyone about tomorrow morning for a skate? Looks like it'll be dry but cold, do you reckon it'll be worth trying outdoors again? I'm probably going to see what it looks like and try to head up to Miccy if it looks dry. I might go for 10 rather than 9 to give the condensation some time to dry.

I'm doubtful for tomorrow, but still working on trying to arrange a pass. The weather does promise to stay dry though so Miccy may be a possibility. I'll post later if I can make it.

I'm out until almost the end of April as I'm off on mi hols on Saturday. The wife is staying until end of May though so, when I get back, I've got a month to do what the bloody hell I like :-) hopefully the weather in May will be half decent and should have some chance of decent outdoor sessions.

There are places further failed to consider at some point now the weather may be better, quite a few within reasonable striking distance, Preston Park in Stockton on Tees as an example

I don't think I'll be able to go further afield this weekend. Probably going to head up to Miccy between 9 and 10. My wife doesn't want to go too far and I need to practice some basics and it's the best place for it. The rest of the family aren't big fans of Rawmarsh, I'll have to come when I can go solo.
