I've got a bit of it somewhere... yes sadly gone but did last a lot longer than many 70s parks due to being part of a leisure park setup, they just left it and let us skate it for years until they actually wanted to do something else with the land..

RIP my skate birthplace...

That was a cool park, I went there in about `89. In the second pic, I could get a really good run from the left bank into the gully, back out onto the right bank and drop right into the bowl at a fair rate of speed. I was just getting my second wind of skating after the late 70s, had paid a visit to Millendreath and then got to Holywell. At one point I tried going into the snake run a bit too fast, took the wrong line and slammed really hard. When I arrived there, it was all I could do to ride a bank without falling off, ended the day getting tail blocks on the lip of the bowl, good memories. Real shame they demolished it.

Anyone remember Manfred? He used to own Holywell in the mid to late eighties, pretty sure he still skates too.

Is this the same place?

I've got this photo and remember going on holiday with my folks and visiting various places to skate in the area but I've no actual memory of being there apart from having this picture.
