Long time off so tips......greatly taken on board.

Postby Raw » Sat May 25, 2013 11:20 am

Hello, fingers crossed I'm finally getting back on the board this weekend. Haven't been on for a good 18years, think I should've named this thread mid life crisis!
So I bought a new board trucks wheels etc through the for sale section on here Christmas time, and a few bits from woody and eBay. Since buying and making a sweet setup, I've been unable to get out due to knee ankle and joint problems.
Anywho, I've been problem free now for around 6weeks and feeling like I wanna get the new setup out for a thrash.
Question is???? Anyone else been in this situation and done something silly to regret?
Tips?

Hopefully a pic of my setup is attached as well !

Pads Pads Pads... Ankle or knee injury, id get some to save you having them again. Ankle brace is a must for me as rolling my ankles is pain upon pain. Also takes bloody ages to heal. Other than that take it easy, break ya self in easy :)

Thanks.

I was out for a similar length of time before starting again late last year. :D
I would say just go easy and enjoy it - don't beat yourself up if it takes a while to feel comfortable with the basics. ~..

Great fun stepping back on a board, gonna head to a park next time. Took your advice guys and took it easy, even the Ollie etc was more than I thought I would do. Board slide and carving next!!

Any tips on muscle building for the legs? 1.30hrs and my legs were bushed. Has been 18 years since I last stepped on so not bad I guess!
