Sk8 pics website from the 80's / 90's.

Postby SimonH » Tue Aug 28, 2012 11:25 am

Hi guys

I was skating around Knebworth, Stevenage and St. Albans in the late 80's and early 90's and took a lot of pictures.

I've recently found some of them so thought I would build a website and share them, as most of the places we used to go are now gone - so a nice bit of skateboarding history.

Have a look - good memories of these places!

Yeah you are quite right, I think I remember him at Stevenage ... - I wish I'd written down all the names and dates etc at the time!

I've got a load more pics somewhere, I'll let you know when I find them and put them on the site.

Ta

That's brought back some happy memories. I spent my summer holidays most years at Knebworth late 70's to early eighties. Not many pictures of the clover on the net so great to see these. Can't remember the banks for some reason. Either they were put in later or it's just faaaar too long ago for me to remember

Hi guys, Thanks for the responses - Rodga Harvey has been duly named!

The Clover leaf at Knebworth was a lot of fun - it was mellow enough but you could fly out of the top of it as well!

I liked the banks there a lot - impossibly steep!

Cheers

Just seen this thread. Great pics - I love that transitional period of the deck shapes and wheel sizes. Although I didn't skate those places you have photos of I have good memories of skating Liverpool and the Wirral during those years 8)
