The bridge from the park to the myplace centre has been built now. Although they haven't removed the fence on the other side so it's good for bugger all except a game of poo sticks. Will probably be some neighbourhood safety meets coming up (Bazza) as there's been a few incidents with the usual suspects. Can't say too much here as even people with warrants out on them have the internet. But fingers crossed some naughty boys are gonna be taking a ride in a nee nah.

NEW SKATEPARK IN ROMFORD

Postby bazza5070 » Mon Dec 15, 2014 10:08 am

7 foot high metal fence surrounding park is now completed, lights and CCTV to go in very soon. Once all is complete there will be controlled entrance to park via turnstile. CCTV will be monitored from MyPlace Youth centre next door with local police team and youth workers on call to attend.
Not perfect but a definate step in the right direction. Also Wheelscape are coming back when the weather improves to sort the cracks and look at improving the drainage.

Another quick update: park currently having a large drainage ditch dug in front of it to stop problems with excess run off - some good news at last!
