Manchester - the 'Northern Powerhouse'?
What a joke that is!

off to Pembrokeshire, Haverford West - now, that little town got a fine plank rollin rink ;-)

Took a while for Liverpool to build skateparks, now they are making up for it. I guess Manchester council don't like skateboarding much.

I went on Friday...I was 4 hours too early and the builders wouldn't let me in because the council bigwigs were watching....sigh
It's not where you skate, it's who you skate with.

Been a couple of articles in the Manchester evening news recently ... Bmx and skaters caught on cctv skating and damaging a newly restored cenotaph
http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/ ... tv-7877880

And a piece on beast ramps...

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/ ... d-10325051
Evidence as if it was needed for the need of a decent Manchester park.

That said there is no excuse for the cenotaph damage :(

Not sure if skateparks would stop the street skating. There is a good street scene in Manchester as you can see with Joe Gavin's regular Madchester videos. Hope it's not them damaging the cenotaph though :(

In another piece on MEN....

"Some of the skateboarders are said to be grown men in their 30s, rather than teenagers."
