Odd as this might sound, I can hear the Shaggs influence on some of the In Utero era Nirvana.

And on the raincoats!

Not odd - the Shaggs were one of Kurt Cobain's favourite bands!

I can't make my mind up about the Shaggs; on the face of it they are possibly the worst band to ever record, on the other hand there is some (unintentional) coherence in what they are doing. On the whole I find them strangely compelling.
