new ramp build

Hi im in the planning stage of building my own backyard ramp and i've a question that i need answering.
I'm planning on building a miniramp out of wood in my back garden but its going to be exposed to the elements
and my friend who's a builder has offered to fibreglass coat it once i've built it to protect it.
But would this effect the way it would ride?
Has anyone tried this before and does anyone have any advice on the subject?
thanks in advance for any replies

Re: new ramp build

DON'T DO IT ...
Council parks use to fiberglass coat some of there outdoor ramps way back they were shit to ride slippy as fuck with any moisture in the air, and riding up and down them broke all the fibers up .. fiberglass splinters are no fun
MAS, run by skateboarders for skateboarders and paid for by skateboarders.
