Pulled muscle in jaw

So, I've been grinding my teeth in my sleep loads recently (confirmed by the missus) and I've pulled a muscle in my jaw. Seriously hurts. Anyone had a similar problem? Any ideas on how to stop grinding away in my sleep? I'm blaming the crappy weather stopping me getting my skate fix and so my stress levels are rising...

Re: Pulled muscle in jaw

Your wife may possibly be landing a swift punch to your jaw, while you are grinding your teeth and waking her up....?
It's not where you skate, it's who you skate with.

Re: Pulled muscle in jaw

I can't say I've ever done that, have you tried using a mouth piece while you sleep?
I don't think it'll help prevent pulling muscles in your jaw but it'd keep your teeth from wearing down.

Re: Pulled muscle in jaw

Not yet - will have to get one as I've chipped an incisor already. On the plus side my face has stopped hurting and the sun is shining!
