Broken leg.

Broke my right leg. Fibula and tibia. Had surgery and two plates fitted. Not a skate accident. Fell down stairs. I broke my left leg last year! Cant believe it. Bollocks!

Bad luck! I broke just my fibula last July and had one plate fitted. It takes about 6 weeks for the bone to properly knit together. Then you'll probably need some physio for another 6 weeks or so. It's a pain in the arse, but it does get better

Aw shit. That's awful. At least you'll only have a psychological fear of stairs after you heal, instead of being scared to skate. Just move your bed downstairs....

Calcium sounds like a good idea. Don't forget that it needs boron to be absorbed by the body, so there's no point gulping scads of calcium tablets without supplementing the boron too. (Google this - I could be wrong).

And green, leafy vegetables have more calcium than milk, cheese, dairy.

Rotten luck though. Heal soon.

Shite news that, sorry man. How do you feel about coming out and doing some photos while you're healing? Could beat sitting around the house or whatever.

Thanks everyone.
The hard thing is that my missus is having a serious operation and some treatment over the next month and I was supposed to be looking after her. Neither of us will be able to drive. When you are on crutches you don't have your hands free to do anything. Anyway I ordered one of these:

Hope it might give me the freedom to do the cooking and walk the dog and stuff. Anyone ever used one? It was a bit pricey but I can always hand it over to some one else if they have an ankle injury.

I feel too tired to skate a lot of the time. But then I am very old compared to you Mike. Although you have two small children!

Yeah, they're hard work plus I think the booze is taking its toll. They both have their own set ups now. Lizzy a old school Z Flex and Peter a Real pre-built complete.
