Perth skate part lobby hits TV

Postby blameless » Sun Sep 19, 2010 3:03 am

No idea how but one of the crew managed to get 6 minutes primetime Friday night TV for our campaign to build a new skatepark. Being the media whore I am I managed to barge some camera time!

What... the Council? Hater!

Good luck with the campaign Tony. Offer to take the Council-bods out for the day and give them a tour of (good) parks that other Councils have provided. Make 'em see the errors of their ways.

Good idea DTB, we're pushing for something world class though so the nearest one wouldbe SMP in China!

Has it been re-surfaced?
I remember it being completely sprayed up.

I had both knees operated on (19 weeks ago today) and the right one is just not coming good. :( I've been trying to avoid anything to do with skating (even checking MAS) as being reminded of what you want too but can't do gets me down.
Perhaps by the time Perth actually gets a park built I'll be ready to go again.

Yes Gaz, it was done a few months back. Skates nice and fast again now. Sorry to hear about the knees, hope you're back onboard soon.
