on the road in california for a while heres a few piccys from tour so far...

after flying in from australia to the uk for a skate i then flew out to california here i am over salt lake city

today i took in the cove ...the dogbowl replica..


the pool is a good size, but the waterfall from the shallow is real close to the drop in point...

onward with the tour,
this is belvedere ,not the greatest part of town, the coping was trashed..




L.A. always makes me smile..

then it was back into the pony for a drive to simi valley..


i shit you not i was amazed..


i got a tour of the whole museum, including all the personal collection,
i shot nearly a 100 shots in skatelab..

time to move south, i pased throught all the coastal surf towns, this was a cool bench at hemosa beach..

a run into jokers shop in huntingdon beach saw me culling wood from the walls..


today was the bulldog skates west coast jam at etnies ,rad day,i got an invite to belmars pool..
etnies is the bomb..

tomorrow i go to the hosoi book release,then skate the diy canal st park
monday is the combi...

Did you have to put on the copers at Belmar's, or did they let you off - ( I assume your Rom polystyrene cup certificate is an equivalent qualification )

bit later at long beach i scored a signed deck from sims ex pro mike folmer..


trucks around huntingdon make my mitsubishi triton look a bit shite really..


that funny bloke duane is a sort....


grosso just lives down the road from the jokers skate shop, here's one he didn't sign for me..lol..

yeah right...make on that one mate, the hip tranny is alot better than the actual main tranny...
the combi bail was like heart failure though....looong way up.....

Bowl where you are sat on the edge looks soooooooo deep There seems to be acres of concrete at some of the parks.

todays little adventure saw us heading back for a cheeky little number in venice..


noticed on the way out of the boardwalk, the place we was eating at had thumbs up clientel...


the wall's not a bad likeness..lol.


so we headed out to..


new ink was in order...at the martlet parlour on hollywood blvd..


left calf, bit of a tribute to my smithfield dog called mo' (he's a saint & a sinner,but always sworn to fun)


on from that we drove northwest...i had waited along time for this moment..


yes this was...kenter...


this was one of the most influencial places for skateboarding
at the beginning...



tomorrow hopefully hit costa mesa ,then its to the airport in the evening & home.....skateboarding rules.....period.

Good shit Boomer! Pity we couldn't hook up, stuck in the North West, but hey, Orcas rocked!

Nice thread/blog Boomer, looks like you did it in style. Venice is such a cool and fun spot to skate I went as well. Vans sucked the life out of my legs very quickly as it was the day after the BDS Jam, but I loved it....So fast and big but strangely not intimidating. I also took a look at Skatelab.....What an amazing collection of stuff.

Did you go to Belmars? He's a funny guy, had a right laugh with him at the Jam.



If you ever go to San Francisco you must hit Protero Del Sol that's another great skatepark.

Never got to belmars in the end, not enough time in the schedule, I skated the san fran park last year...It's pretty good
