Holiday Skate

Just back from a week in sunny Albufeira, Portugal. As always, made sure there was a skatepark close by before booking our Hols.

Helpful directions.
Image

Great park if you like stairs, rails, hubbas, ledges and flat banks. I don't. :(
Image

But not to worry they have a snake run. :)
Image

And the 'Death Bowl'. Tight, over vert and so slippy you can't climb out by foot.
Image

The mini bowl was more my thing.
Image

Action shot! Ollie to tail.
Image

Was good to get away for a week in the sun. Even better to get some skating in as well.

That's seven-ply-- seven layers of a thin veneer...
that are bonded together, cross-grain...
to form a board that's practically indestructible.

That mini bowl looks like good fun, in fact the whole park looks great. Looks like you had the place to yourself too. I'll bear this place in mind for my next holiday!

That snake run looks pretty gnarly to me! It doesnt look very carve'able and then when/if you get to the end you are faced with the over vert bowl of death! :? Did you ride it? Maybe all the stairs are the fire exit

I rode down it a few times, but stuck my foot down near the end as I couldn't work out how to roll in down the waterfall at the speed I was going.

Here's a vid off youtube of someone else skating it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Btez9SNbJNo
