Des, Saffron Walden ACTION SEQUENCE

Postby Nick F » Sat Oct 23, 2010 10:34 am

Date: 22nd October 2010
Place: Saffron Walden FULL JUICE BOWL
Skater: Des Degnarr (7 friends on facebook since 2003)
Trick: Frontside invert regrab boneless helmet hold and replace fakie
Photos by: Arthur F
Equipment: none yet, too young
Film: EktaChrome

Frame 1
The other side of this hair raising lip is sheer crete wall, 13' with 3' of vert. This young skater has been making off the wall tricks here for 49 years.
Image

Frame 2
Des approaches at break neck speeds, pumping the juice he sets up for the trick that has made him a household name all across small parts of Rochester. Fear and commitment show in his eyes, this is no place for the average joe
Image

Frame 3
Here you see Des pirouette frontside and remove his helmet; struggling to hold the vibe he is now totally committed
Image

Frame 4
Captured in amazing clarity that bends the eyes and warps the vision the talented photgrapher captures Des as he goes into the frontside invert regrab boneless helmet hold - feelings of exhilaration and true freedom show on the young skaters face
Image
...this brief moment of rolling poetry is over all too soon

Frame 5
Faster than a modern camera shutter at fast sport setting, Des goes from a dis-control state to control state and rides back down the giant wall replacing his helmet to ride again somewhere else where only eagles soar
Image

And that's Rad

After which he found the Pool Bowl a bit boring and kept dozing off during his grinds...

Yep, need a bit more practice with it though, either that or grow an extra arm.

Great pics Alec, after the shambles shots me and Arthur managed to take these are outstanding! I think I'm going to hunt about for a decent camera! Love this one...

I can honestly with all conviction say I have not, will not or ever would contemplate a pictures artistic value or content based upon your arse and the position of the sun Des.

Alec, did any of the big bowl pics of me come out, I guess not :(
