70's John Sablosky pics

Anyone remember this spread from the 70's Skateboard mag??

The top right hand pic was the one that mesmerised me - tail tap in the Kidderminster pool. I found this pic s few weeks ago and instantly I was back to being 14 years old!!! In fact, it was seeing this pix again that made me decide to get another board and get back into skating.

Re: 70's John Sablosky pics

I SOOOO wanted to be Sablosky in the 70's. Always wanted one of those rainbow 'Hobie' Jerseys he used to wear and he was probably the first person to make me want to have my hair long! But I don't think he came to Southport with Benjiboard. The man who impresed most that day was Marc Sinclair.

Great to see those photo again tho.

Re: 70's John Sablosky pics

yeah remember those pics like yesterday. Same as that link to the Skateboard mag archive last month , remember that pic of scruffy kid in the boilersuit doing the people jump. Actually I remembered ALL the photos inc. the adverts - weird thing the brain!

The 70s had a lot to answer for - general scruffiness and Evel Knievel
