It's such good fun, I've never seen so many banks before.

It's new, the biggest bank may be a bust as it's next to houses. Me and Pearce were skating it at 9.45 with no trouble though. The smaller banks are secluded, so should be less trouble.
I imagine the whole thing will be fenced off when it's finished, with "NO TRESPASSERS" signs.

Is it designed to divert water away from a flood plain or summat (where presumably some lucky people now have houses)? Wales isn't known for its drought conditions like California!

It's to channel water from the res overflow next to margam and had been redone due to the new bye pass built exiting

Damn right it was hot! Really fun place. Next time I'll bring some shears to trim the plants back. And a trowel to expose more of the lips. I'll stick a couple more pics up later. Any of those vids turn out ok?

well as i'm 'green round the gills' and scared of falling off i usually just stick to the local carparks, early mornings or the mumbles seafront as it's nice and easy lol, just till i'm a bit better at it!

I live in Llansamlet at the mo but the misses lives in Culverhouse Cross so travel back and forth as I work in Swansea.

as for What I ride, pretty shit at the mo just a shop bought Mike Mcgill POS with Buttery 54mm wheels but looking at getting a proper ride in the next few weeks, since signing up here I've kinda caught the bug an need a decent set up!

Don't suppose anyone would pm me the details for this place? Thinking about maybe checking it out tomorrow. Long way to go from Bristol to spend hours driving around looking. Think the old google earth based on your photo's has given me a few ideas o where it might be. Would appreciate directions though if you guys don't mind?

We ended up going the other weekend. Found it pretty easily cheers Pearce. Had a good skate in super hot sunny weather, felt more like California than Cymru!!

While skating the bigger bit one of the residents came out of his house to have a go at us I thought but for once I was wrong. Turned out to be a really nice bloke who just wanted to see if we'd found the bit on the other side of the road.

He said that the council are planning to skate stop it soon and that we should complain to the council as it's a waste of money and the locals actually quite like having the skaters come by. It was a bit surreal having a guy rant at me about the council trying to stop people skating out the back of his house. I'm a bit too far away to really get involved but if any of you local lads felt like trying to talk the council down it would seem that you would have the community on your side. If not then get your sessions in soon as it might not be around too much longer.

Cheers again for posting up here guys, finally ticked off my first legit uk drain!!

Last I head was the locals did bonfire night in it and blew some of thr bunds up covering bits in mud.

3 months of rain and bearing in mind its a drainage ditch suggest it's full of dead hookers, mud, drowned hairy things and slood
