Good old handplant

Postby Dougie » Thu Jul 10, 2014 11:43 am

Been back on the rolling plank for around 6 month now.. still 'remembering' tricks and haven't thought about attempted this at all yet...last one was probably '89.. but during a good sesh on Sunday afternoon gave it a whirl. Much to my and the youngsters delight, I did it. Yes, OK, I couldn't get my hand right on the coping (tried, but kept bailing when I touched it.. mental block I think), and it's only a mini ramp ... but felt damn nice all the same.

Mellow trannie + 6 months skating = inverts? That's pretty epic!

Fuck yeah, you are now my MAS hero :P Handplants (and rock n rolls) are the two things I want back more than anything. One of the local runts (he's about 10 I think) was learning to do 'em with his dad the other day, rekindled my determination to get there, this as well! Now the confidence is coming back enough to just throw myself at stuff a bit it doesn't seem so unrealistic. Great stuff anyway man ..-

That's excellent, especially when hand plants/ inverts are much harder on mellow transitions.

Well done.
