(AW)

Oh my! to say I'm beyond joy is an understatement (I know I don't look it - having my picture taken, no likey :|
I've now got my alternative tentacles Powell-Peralta deck, so I'm a punk on a punk skateboard :D
Shepard Fairey & Jello Biafra designed it , logo by Winston Smith

I'll be going to the SOS Skate Jam this Sunday (weather play nice!) at Castle Farm in Kenilworth as I'm arranging some lessons and just to have some fun (I'll pad up)

 Somebody in the 'Skate Givens' thread suggested that Micke is actually Tom Selleck... I start to suspect he's Jeff Kendall...

Nice board.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but are 139's gonna be wide enough for an 8.4" deck?

Hi Harry

It's only that wide bang in middle; had a good discussion about it yesterday
I'll know better once I've been on my board more.

I've also just measured it with a ruler it definitely tapers slightly and it is 8" where the trucks are
What would you recommend? I'm open to different opinions :)

Ah right. It'll probably be ok then. :-)

Normally you want the edges of the wheels to line up with the edge of the deck. A few mil either way doesn't matter though.

Well, I had a budget as I had to buy everything, I bought mine from Ripride skateshop here in Leamington.
It's all relative, as I'd rather support my local skateshop and alternative tentacles. It depends if you think it's worth it, the minute I saw that deck, I knew as I had looked at loads of other decks before.

I got my first lesson tomorrow ~..

I just meant it is a bit pricey for me to buy yet another board, a good one for your main ride. It looks great.

Bit late coming into this thread but I only recently joined.

I've been looking at this deck as I am looking to get back on the board and I'm a big Jello Biafra fan and Powell Peralta is a make I know and trust. How is bearing up so far? The graphics look awesome from the pictures.

I've only been here a little while and done some skating (in the last 3 weeks)
The graphics are brilliant it looks as good as you think it does ~.. :D
The deck is a little heavy as it's more old school styling though I like that

It's in pretty good nick just some wear around the tail and nose ( I'm not grinding or doing tricks yet, just carving/tic tac and going up ramps)

It's in better shape than me!
