I knew I had some old pictures of me skating the Performance Bowl at Harrow and I managed to find them yesterday :D :D :D

I think they are from 1978 and I had forgotten how big that bowl was  Also for those of you who never skated Harrow back it the day, it was actually smooth once !!

Enjoy

Went to the full performance bowls at both Harrow & Rom in the old days, Rom cut theirs down to ground level for some reason, wonder why Harrow didn't do this rather than just knocking it down & filling it in, is the Harrow one completely destroyed under the soil?

Rom performance bowl was fucking insane and scary as hell. I once saw some lunatic drop in to it from the lip, think they probably cut it down before someone killed theimselve and raised the insurance premiums even higher!! :-)

It only takes one idiot! In the case of Harrow someone apparently tried to ride it on a motorbike or moped and didn't make it. Harrow council buried the deepest bowls for safety reasons BITD. Yes they just knocked the protruding walls in and if we ever get to dig it out I believe the the pieces are in the bottom of the bowl.

Simon nice one for finding those pictures, really great to see it again.
