Thanks its nice only problem where i took it was way to ruff. Rattled my knees a bit and i could land an ollie but i really need to lose allot of weight to be able to get anywhere close to my level i imagine. I can cruse around no probs like i never stopped skating so im really happy ! WHOOP WHOOP! Its good though because my wife went out and got some roller skates so it was nice me my daughter and wife all rolling around a car park in the sunshine. Slept like a log last night too lol

Yeah I think they are 99a or something but found a better place tto skate today and it was fine. That care park we were in was really ruff. I would like a selection of wheels and bearings to swap out for differnt uses but im nearly £300 invested after pads this month might have to make do for a little while.

Cheers :D !
Only problem is the wheels came with original bearings of unknown brand ... and they're total shite!
Are Bones Reds generally regarded as good, or are they just so popular cos they're cheap?

Nah reds are a good solid bearing although I'd go with indy abec 7s. Same zort of price but slightly faster in my opinion.

May I refer the honourable member to the "bearing" thread ;-)

My first board in 24 years

Seriously though, the original bearing thread is probably overkill and unless you've got 2 or 3 days of your life to waste you might find the "son of" bearing thread a more digestible read viewtopic.php?t=32372

This particular can of worms has been opened many times and you'll get as many different opinions as there are people debating the issue. However, FWIW I would support Martin's recommendation of Indy 7s

Cheers HarryR ... aye, I can only handle so much geekery :) !
But that's 2 recommendations for Indy Abec 7's now ... and the shields are black too, which might suit my set-up :)

Yeah Skater73, my first proper wheels too, red ones ... I came across these black ones on ebay for £15 and couldn't resist :D !
I know some people slag Slammers off as being shite, but I liked them, and they were great on the streets of the small Scottish Borders town where I lived compared to some of my mates' harder wheels, ha!

Daum. Almost forgot the bearing-thread.

On bearings, may I suggest SKF - the original. Industrial design not to be found at a skate shop. Model 608 zz E2 energy efficient.
