Yours truly, 1979.

This is the only skateboard photo I have from back in the days. There were no skateparks then, no public ramps or anything. Me and my sk8 buddies had a home made wooden single ramp, about 6' tall and just vertical at the coping. Frontside 3-wheels out, frontside air and hand plants was about as radical as it got then. Man.. we had a lot of fun. The skateboard is an Alva Pig and I have kept it in my garage for all these years. :)

Not yet, but it's probably just a matter of time.
I still feel uncomfortable with frontside kick turns. But frontside carving is easier than backside carving...

Frontside this and frontside that was what the Z-Boys did in the 1970's skateboard magazines, we just tried to copy what they did. That was rad beyond everything..
