Met up with my ole skating buddy from back in the day today at Loughborough Southfields skatepark, for a 'dust off the cobwebs after the shit weather' bowl sesh

Skated my new SC Kendall Snake, with Gullwing SuperPro 3's in neon pink, and my old school, original 65mm SC Slimeball Big Balls.

I had not skated it properly since setting it up, and it doesn't dissappoint. The trucks are super turny and not a single wheel bite all morning. Proper good fun.

Pic shows hosoi rocket wheels, but i changed these today for the bigballs before skating it!

Lovely looking board that Canky! Me wantee.

Only skated twice last week due to dodgy (trailing/popping) knee and family commitments. Thought the lack of action would remedy said knee. It did not. Skated at the Senior Skate session at Oslo Skate Hall last night and the little knobbly fucker is currently registering a Michael Gove on the painful irritation scale. Bastard.

One of the two skates last week was outside though. Stoked on the lack of snow and praying it doesn't return. Got this. Made me smile. Lots.

Back in the groove again this week after what seems like ages. So nice to have two skates in a row in sunshine.

Fakie pivots and cab feebles are new. Finally conquered proper stand up frontside 5-0's this week rather than slashing them and im edging closer to a decent frontside smith too.....

been skating quite a bit and not documenting things much (posting and filming on any platform) - time is limited (changing jobs/companies - international travels) so I concentrate on the skating when I have a window. Loads of new interesting tricks primarily aiming at expanding my switch trick repertoire, fside 180 to switch 5-0 switch 180 out, switch fside 180 to 5-0 bside 180 out, things like that...

went for a summery evening roll at Concrete Waves yesterday, and scored (for me) a skateboarding first - my first pebble!
I had just dropped into the pool at the shallow end, and was about to frontside carve the deep end, when it felt like one of my back wheels had suddenly fallen off! I strained my hip a little trying to avoid doing the splits, but no real injury to myself.
But I have flatspotted one of my new Speedlab wheels, and my board started to sound like a moped :(
I have since moved the flatspotted wheel to the front of the board in the hope that it won’t sound quite as annoying.
Any tips on dealing with a flatspotted wheel?

hooray, yes I chuffin did today!!

A nice sunny early roll around with HarryR at a very sunny quiet Micklefield, trying to find our feet again & our Mojo's  , as we were tuckered out at around 11am & a bit, a good few younger skaters turned up, this place in recent times has become a skatepark again with skateboarders using it, rather than a plague of clueless kiddies on all manor of crap, not the best skatepark you could use but it's the best outdoor we have around these parts ! :D :D

Dartford skatepark this morning. Great weather and friendly crowd of older skaters.Early morning sessions are proving popular amongst the veterans of the area. Usually a good crowd of like minded skaters there from about 8am onwards on weekends before the cool kids turn up. Worth rocking up if you are in the SE London/NW Kent area.

Wenr and checked out the old concrete bowl at Combe, Oxfordshire at the weekend, good to see it's still there and being maintained by volunteers as there was talk of maybe filling it in a few years ago. It's a nice spot for rolling around and getting used to carving, banks etc.

Not been out consistently recently but had a roll at Churchdown the other week. I was pleasantly surprised with my session as not skated the bowl for a good few months, things clicked straight out the gate. Been out on my cruiser a bit, non stop pushing for over an hour = un happy calf! :% back to normal after a couple of days thanks to tiger balm.

Been to Combe bowl myself many moons ago - it's rad it's still there & people are maintaining it, proper bit of skate history it's a relic! But mega fun from memory.

Had some great waves over the bank holiday weekend which forced me to get my skateboard out on my return. I found some metal ramps that no one seems to go to that are less rusty than me and have had a couple of sessions there this week.

Just practiced some basics on the mini ramp and had a great time.... damn you winter for killing my skate stoke ..-

Had a skate this morning as I woke up early. Not surprising as I fell asleep at about 8 last night after too many Doom Bars. Unfortunately the quality of my skating was reduced from my usual crap level to super sub crap due to previously mentioned Doom Bars.

It is a nice pint though. b~

Nothing exciting or even good but im just trying to get my legs back now that we have sun after I get off work. Once I get some new stuff or relearn a lot of my old stuff I'll take the time and deal with the hassle of dragging out the tripod, finding the wide angle or fisheye, finding a decent angle or 2, chasing the dog off the flat or the decks, rigging the power cod since my phone will die after 2 minutes of filming, etc etc etc. Theresa reson why I dont post many clips anymore. BTW, was logged out automatically again when I first tried posting this 3 times(had auto log in selected that time)!

Had a good session at my local this morning - been messing about with set up! Gone from a 10” to a 7.75” now to a 8.50” all without spending a penny so far this year. That’s how much gear I bought last year! Still it’s fun to tinker. Will be out on the board again tomorrow morning.

Happy shredding all.

Nice one Warwick. Glad the ramp got done.

I was tempted to chip in as I saw your post.

However I can't skate vert and have no idea if the location was near enough to me to be able to get there often enough to skate it.

Nice transfer!

I'm still like a baby deer skating switch... Saying that, I do have switch flips and shuvs down now, which adds a lot of confidence in some situations.

Not too much action on here of late. Be good to see you more of you skate (or hear about it) if possible. Nice to keep this place alive.

Skated with young @corey and his (considerably younger) son today for a nice summer lunch session. Summer in Oslo meaning we obviously had to hide indoors to escape the rain for a good chunk of it.

Rolling on a Natas re-issue panther at the the moment (it's here - https://www.instagram.com/p/By7-id7oJHp/ ) really loving it despite its complete impracticality. Makes me happy just to look at the thing.

Enjoying trying to get no comply flips down. So inconsistent, but a great feeling when they 'sit' - https://www.instagram.com/p/BzYDhF3jU5Y/

As always, damn good to skate with someone other than myself for once! cheers all

Just hear about it from me. Not capuring vid at the moment, maybe in a couple of weeks when the daylight start earlier (its mid winter in the southern hemisphere). Just across the road from where I live is a park (walking park not skatepark) with medium grit tarmac - smooth enough for my 53 mm Bones Blanks (STF). Its so convenient, with one section under street lamps and I sometimes have a roll around in the evening well after dusk. Got half an hour of flat ground skating in before work - manuals on both ends of the board, my usual futile attempt to wire up some extra rolling ollie Neural Pathways and a freestyle flip.

Weather forecast dry tomorrow morning, so I will do another 30 min session.

Joined Brian at Miccy this morning. Posting a note here as this is the only record of my miserable efforts at skating. Only my second session this year! It really shows as well. I messed up a couple of really simple things and hurt myself a little bit. Note to self: must make more effort.

Having said that it was a nice sunny session.

Getting in at least two sessions a week at the minute. Skatings going ok - a mixture between bowl & street but not on the “street”. Not progressing much but I’m not regressing & the wheels are still rolling. The rotator cuff is still not 100%

Re: Did you skate today?

Postby undertime » Fri Aug 09, 2019 11:55 am

Been in Spain for a week and managed to squeeze in a couple of sessions at the awesome Santa Pola Skatepark near Alicante. Too hot (well duh) but loads of space, really well thought out park and something for everyone (apart from vert riders).

Was please to get this to 50 50 for the first time - https://www.instagram.com/p/B0x0gqIjgQo/

Back to reality today, but still got a session in before work - https://www.instagram.com/p/B08DHGBoRBC/

And, just to show the enduring value of this site, the board was bought here, from Steve. Thanks Steve!!!!

I haven't posted much since Ive been out skating in the wild with a friend, so not really filming anything. But I have been lurking(even with auto login it still will take several times to make a post!), and skating daily. Here's the only crap(literally) that I filmed. I just relearned these and wanted to see how horrible they really were.

Suffer with me...

Fuck yes Plan9! Literally 0% horrible.

Quick couple of new ones (or variations on existing stuff... there's rarely anything genuinely 'new')

Seeing these recent clips from Undertime & plan9 has inspired me to dust off the tripod - having fun on this Dane 1 shape.
