The MAS spare change finacial accumulator

We all know that feeling of joy when riding around a skatepark, spotting some pennies dropped by some hapless blader, and pocketting it before anyone notices.
So here's the idea.
Everyone who finds any spare change in a skatepark posts up how much they pocketted, and adds it to the financial accumulator.
Last night at Radcliffe I picked up five rather battered 1p's, so that makes 5p so far.

There are only two rules;

1. no making things up or robbing kids. It has to be actual amounts you really have picked up.
2. you don't have to come from Scotland to join in.

So lets get pocketting - The MAS spare change finacial accumulator currently stands at 5p.

Fair enough. Good joke from the Edinburgh fringe. Crime in multistory carparks is wrong on so many levels.

Re: The MAS spare change finacial accumulator

actually Chris I think the MAS cash counter should read 2.3050100493 - my fault for giving this mornings australian treasure in units of pounds sterling when pence would have been more appropriate for the sort of sum we are looking at. I also should have said 24 more finds of the magnitude recorded in my previous post will get me a cup of coffee - specifically a long black from the coffee lady who visits my workplace in her coffee van every morning during the week. If I was to go to a cafe I would be looking at an even more extended saving period.

the conversion rate seems to be fluctuating by the hour, I just put it in to google again to check and got

10 Australian cents = 0.0652800785 British pounds

A$ is rather high at the moment, simply due to China's demand for the minerals we mine. Australia is unable to run its economy intelligently and our manufacturing sector is really struggling as a result of the high exchange rates.

Smurfs appear to be taking over Radcliffe at the mo, attached to scooters and BMX handlebars. There's a McDonalds at the bottom of the hill which is where they're coming from seemingly.

Collected 2p this morning but heading out to Radcliffe now to see what else I can find.

Re: The MAS spare change finacial accumulator

Adding Robz 5p to the 5p I found yesterday.

The MAS spare change finacial accumulator currently stands at £2.48p and half a dead smurf.

Re: The MAS spare change finacial accumulator

Fuck me, If I signed up to this forum a day early I would've made a killing on this topic...

I went to Southglade park yesterday morning and found a bomber jacket, a checkered shirt and a pair of jeans... all of the about a foot from one another... of course I didn't touch the fucking things (I didn't know about this MAS scfa), but I thought: Did some cunt came here last night pissed out of his head, saw the bowl, thought it was a pool, undressed and dived in? I picked up the pace heading to the bowl, hoping to find a half naked chav splattered face down in the deep end like a lion/bear rug... but no luck...

In the meanwhile, a local kid on a scooter approached, nodded at me and I go: 'Does this shit happen often?' pointing at the clothes near the street area and he goes (resigned face, thin voice): '...yeeaaaahhh...'
