A big thank you to the guys I met tonight - Andy, Slammin Ade, Ben, Phil and some others. It was fun despite me tweaking my knee within a minute of rolling around the bottom of the bowl. Made me realise there's a whole bunch of different physics going on that I need to sort out! . Andy gave me some pointers about transitions on the big one next to the full pipe with some gentle fakie rolls (more stuff to learn )but by then I was scared of bolloxing my knee further - even turning down Ade's offer to go skate on the smaller stuff in the middle of the park.

I guess I should have waited before trying new stuff, but I felt OK walking about at work. I feel a right tit Speaking of which, on that note I'm feeling a little sorry for meself, so I'm off to watch porn to cheer up

Sorry I did not make it, bastard couriers not showing up even thought we waited til 7pm at the shop and the fact I can not sleep at the moment which is really starting to hack me off, so fucked during the day kind put paid to any idea of skating. Lets hope I get a sleep pattern back soon as I am missing my skating

Not sure about attending this Tuesday - my knee's still a little swollen from last week's escapade. I suppose I could just roll around on the flat and have a chat....

More importantly - is there a late night event on this coming Friday (22nd)? One of the guys mentioned something about being open til midnight and costing a tenner?

Unlikely that I will be able to turn up tomorrow - assuming the suppliers deliver then I'll be working until about 20:30 to (finally) shift some workwear out of the door! Had a great time last Friday night though. Just a gentle skate around, I even rolled slightly up a flat bank and came back down scared of knackering my knee. But soaking in the atmosphere, watching the guys tackle the vert area and getting some tips along the way made it worthwhile
Speaking of vert - you lot enjoy the vert sesh tomorrow OK? !!

Yeah! Had a great sesh tonight (Tuesday). Phil loaned me his old popsicle board (OMA) to have a go in the bowl with - now I can begin to feel what carving is about - even if it's a lowl level, start from teh waterfall, once around the deep end, kind of roll. THANKS PHIL! Pretty chuffed about it I am! Even got back on my Mindless Campus V tail with its sticky wheels and old school dimensions and managed a go.
I managed to roll off the flat ramps in the street section too, but still bottling it approaching the transitions with some speed
I also brought along a work colleague of mine - the one who's fault it is for me buying a board at my age! Although he's still in his 20s, the guy was only using his board to "commute" the short distance to work and not skate parks any more. Well, he's buzzing now!

Not going today: Laid low over the weekend with a bad cold. Was in bed for the two days just totally debilitated aching all over. Anyway still not on top form,but offered to sort out daughter's boyfriend's motorcycle chain. It's got more slack in it than a pair of knickers belonging to a 20 quid-a-trick whore working Portsmouth harbour!

Won't make it tonight either I'm skint until Friday (payday) and, more importantly, wrenched my back last night moving a bit of furniture. FFS! I might as well just give my board to charity, buy a bloody pipe and pair of slippers and a lazy boy recliner!
