TOSSERS- Taunton On Sunday Sessions Every Reasonable Sunday?

Postby Overseer » Fri Oct 08, 2010 11:40 am

Hi Everyone,

Had a search back, and have seen that it looks like people have visited on their own here n there, but theres not been a proper MAS session at our bowl yet. I've bumped into a few visitors, and figured I should start the ball rolling.

So When? What with the evening light situation at the moment a Sunday afternoon is probaby best. I've got a broom, and a dustpan and brush so will make sure its nice n clean beforehand!

edgie? guy? trevenen? big kid ? ben_g ? pil ? filton bowl massive and other south west types.. ?

If you haven't seen what its like heres a picture. We basically liked Filtons bowl a lot, so we asked for an improved version of it, That ended up pushing it to be a 'crossover' design with 2 deep pockets (affectionately referred to as ball bags or bollocks). however its not restricted to crossover its also possible to carve from bollock to bollock as well which is how most people tend to get speed to air the hips.

I'm on an alternative weekend on / off pattern with work, so it would have to be next weekend for me.
As an ice breaker, if the weather holds, a few of the dorchester gents and I will be hitting Midsomer Norton next friday if anyone is interested ?
Might pop down to Taunton on the way back and make a day of it.

wish i could but gotta watch the holiday days :(

maybe Sun 17th then.. i'm away the week after.. but hey.. you don't need me.. but it'd be nice to have a semi-regular MAS thing going down.. plus there are plenty friendly locals who are skating it anyways

btw there was a good ilfracombe crew of older guys down a few weeks back -they were loving it.. dont know if they're on there though

also : myself and another guy down here have generators so if we can get a sunday thing going having a night jam on weeknight could go down too. it looks amazing lit up like that!

I'm definitely up for semi-regular Taunton sessions; i like the bowl and the crew are friendly. Less traffic on a Sunday makes for better travelling and a weekday is good for me too as work is that way.

Still not fit from shoulder ligament damage however and am trying to rest until it's pretty much 100%. Will tag along though to meet everyone and say hi.

P.S. Have the kids in tow on the 17th as better half is working.

If its nice this sunday, I'm on it.
I've had a hard week at work and want to skate every day.
Fri. - Midsomer.
Sat. - Dorchester
Sun. - Taunton

If you do come to watch Pil, I might get you to do the honours with the video camera now that a kindly MAS'er has sent me the editing software.

Due to an excessive day of play, saturday must be given over to my better half do decide what form of entertainment we partake in.
Sunday morning seems to have a dorchester vibe going on with the crew.
I'll just take it a day at a time and let you know where I'm headed and when.
