Ha ha. Yes I am. Wore my skate clothes to work and forecast yesterday for today was dry. So I thought I would hit a local mini in my lunch hour.....

Not sure about sensible parking. I think I pay around 3 quid to park on old mans night right outside on the meter.

Might be taking a well earned pub break by then bazza.. From what people have said it's quiet from 12-3 then the skool kids pitch up so depending on how many might hang on till 4 then go for a pint and a sarnie while they play. Depends though but doubt I'll mange a 10 hour shift :-)

I really want to to get to Bay tomorrow but I'm sure I'm coming down with something.

Been struggling all week. Pretty much drove to Skaterham Tuesday but had to turn round as I couldn't keep my eyes open. Today I woke up feeling shit, however I'm gonna try my best to attend.

Couldn't skate last weekend due to the weather so getting desperate now

had a bit of good new regarding my injury too so I'm fully able to skate whenever and as much as I want

Just seen this and having 'managed' almost three hours last week, praps I should attempt
the Full Fathom Five (or more) this week.
Gonna finish up on the Island at about 10.30AM so might even have a cheeky scoot
early over Mile End for a 'warm' up too.

Good sess this afternoon and going to be a good one tonight. Bowl nice and slippy but two guys with brooms when we left. Mini nice and fast... Nearly learned something! Met Warwick..... Thought it might be him when watched him do three hand plants in a row!!

I had a good time last night. First OMN for me for ages. I didn't think it was that busy, not but the recent wednesday night standards anyway.

In fact I had a brilliant time. I landed my first ever heelflp - a perfect one at that - after only about 10 attempts

- not bad for 41!

And it was witnessed too - nice to meet you Greg - hope your back gets better soon...

Gareth, i saw you posted on the Skaterham Thread, been goin there last couple tuesdays and will go again tomorrow, haven't skated the vert yet but there was a bunch of guys skating it last week.

Hey Gareth was Ross the guy with the red hat? Can't really be sure from that vid. He was unbelievable. I would have been happy enough not skating and just watching him all night. Thats the good thing about bay, if you ever think you're getting good, just go to old mans night and prepare to be humbled...

And sorry to be rude but who are you? I'm sure we must have met but i can't put a face to your MAS name - yet another time where we could do with a MAS user photos area, wonder if its worth starting a thread inviting everyone to post a pic of themself and quick list of frequented spots/events..?

Good idea Brim re profile pic section, so it wasn't just me then re humbled...

Jeez I thought I was getting slightly less crap getting few old tricks back, frontside rocks and airs ( sketchy as but claiming em ; ) only to watch the old doodz destroy that bowl with no pads on at all, great to see.

I will be easy to recognise, I will be the one with the most pads on!! in fact its almost physically impossible to attach any more to the human body lol but I still manage to find myself in A and E all too frequently

Bay new mini is rad btw anyone thinkin of going well worth checking out

Said ello to a few people last Friday but no idea who most of em were so again brims idea reckon is a good one

Ross was the small guy wearing a black hoody with the hood up. Looking like he was putting no effort in but tearing up the mini and the bowl.
He really rips.

I'm tall and usually wearing a red es hoody or lately a lumberjack shirt either green and black or red and black.

well heres the thing. The mini and bowl will be fairly busy. I'm guilty of spending the majority of the time there. However I shouldn't really.

It depends what you prefer but there are various banks quarters , and wall rides dotted around every area of the park. Theres many places to brush up on flat ground, there are manny pads, ledges, rails.

its fun to roll around especially once you see some locals hitting things and other lines.

I want to use more of the park myself and not spend the majority of time by the mini as its a waste.

So it depends on what you prefer. You can just roll around the various banks and quarters. You can do whatever you want really. There are people of all abilities there. So just get down mingle and skate

I'll be there. Like gareth said theres plenty of space and loads different things to skate at bay66. Anything from flat ground & shallow banks to the evil new bank to wallride with doorway gap.
Even when it gets rammed I always manage to find a mellow corner to play in - most people seem to crowd around the bowl and the new mini but i dont have the patience to wait for my next go so I usually avoid them most of the time

And it really doesnt matter what your level is - if people see you trying something and then finally land it for the first time , everyone will be just as stoked whether it was a kickturn or a switch 360 inward double heelflip or something

People are encouraging whatever your level, its a really good vibe. Especially at old mans nghts.

GuyB you definitely have to come in this time.
Couple of points to note though:

I usually go straight after work but traffic can be a b*tch so usually get there a bit late.
So last time (november was the last one seems like an age ago) i left extra early and got there an hour early - but found out you can pay an extra £2 to join the previous session if it hasnt finished. Bargain.
That was great but by the time everyone else started arriving I was knackered due to getting the bowl and mini practically to myself for a while

I say I was bushed quite early on but still would do it the same every time if i could manage to beat the traffic.

And the other thing, there are beers there so even less point waiting in the pub. I think you get 2 beers and bbq included in the price. I wasnt sure about drinking & skating when i first went and got handed a beer as i was walking in. But turns out its a great combination. Not sure i'd want any more than 2 though.

I am really sorry that I cannot go 2 my local Bay66 and meet MAS members 4 the 1st. time. My illness is progressively improve (voicebox still strained). Hopefully, sometime in the nearest future.
