Anyone going? I'm entered for standup freeride, sort of bricking it.

I think it might just be beyond my level and might scare the crap out of me.
So I joined some local kids for a jam. Good sk8, few disasters but no injuries. I bid them farewell, coolly pushed off down the transition, hit a stone, skidded head first across concrete, grazing my arms to the bone, destroying my jeans and knees. SMOOTH

Worse. I wimped out on the first day after smacking my head, rain was almost non-stop, moss, steep as fook, sharp slate on one of the dodgiest corners, hard to even walk up, 90% chance of ending up on your arse just walking down. Our tent leaked, my helmet visor kept fogging up, it was freezing and I got a shitty cold for the next week.

Can't wait to go back :D :D :D

Check it out in this month's Thrill magazine ..-

Oh and the Black Lion's changed hands now, best lamb shank I've had in a good while. Probably worth the trip just for that, but the burgers from Non's van onsite were awesome too if that's more your style.

P.S. Fuck me some of the street luge lot were incredible to watch... And ice luge just looked fucking mental.

those ice luge things look awesome - I read a long Facebook debate about what was good & bad about the event - my impression fro that was that it was scary, but most seemed to have a good time. Glad you survived it.

Man! If Joe Baldwin was struggling then I'd have no f*ckin chance!

I was marshalling it actually!

Lots of concern over various bits n' bobs but to be honest Will @ Dangerous Decks did a fantastic job considering the relatively small riders turnout.. Yes it's wicked slippy, yes it's gnarly as fuck..yes it's amazing because of these things! haha.

Finals were a hoot even though it was only three riders racing (the Lush team packed up early that morning and went to find 'something a bit drier', and several people were nursing bruises etc) - roll on RTD '15, I'll be doing standup!
