Daft question, but which way are the pivots meant to face out or in......


This is how it came, but I'm not sure it's set up correctly

That's wrong - pivots always face outwards, no matter whether the trucks are tkp or rkp. If you try and skate that, you will fall off when you try and turn.

Another test is to stand on the board on carpet, look down and press your toes down on the edge of the board - the wheels on that side should get closer together.
