Longboard events 2017?

Hello everyone, I'm pretty new to the forum but I thought I'd jump in and try to contribute.

I came across these two events while using the Google:

1st to 2nd July - Dutch Ultra Skate 2017 - long distance push race round a circuit near Amsterdam

3rd to 9th July - Transylvania Downhill 2K17 - downhill track with a gondola

Both sounded quite interesting although quite a long way to travel and I probably won't be able to go to either because of work.

Does anyone know of similar UK based events for 2017?

Quite fancy going to that Dutch event myself. If I have the time then I may just pop over for the weekend and camp there just for the party.

If you fancy a few hours on the board, or any unpowered wheels, the South Coast Roll at Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit is a nice day out. Did that in 2016, no dates as yet for 2017 that I know of - usually in August.

There's usually two or three lb events at Hog Hill (Redbridge Cycle Centre) or if you fancy a decent push then Bath to Bristol on the weekend of the Bitton Beer Festival - about half way on the railway path - is always good fun

That's a good one to watch out for. Went to uni in Bristol so know the area a bit. Is that a MAS push event or is there someone else to contact?

Redbridge is good fun. Practised my Colemans there one day they had the veteran cyclists going round the bottom circuit. Not sure what they made of it.

Right think I've got the right date for the South Coast Roll now. It's Sunday 18th June, Fathers Day.

The Bitton beer festival is on 2 & 3 June If I do b2b this year it won't be anything 'official' - just meet in Bath and hit the railway path after a couple of miles of towpath. It's a cracking day - last time was high 20s, wall to wall sunshine, real ale, nuclear cider and a long skate. Bitton is pretty much half way so breaks the push up v nicely. And makes the last half go by in a pleasant, fuzzy blur...

Hey, if I am around that weekend I would love to pop up for the day, have a few ales and push the board a few miles.

I'm localish, and I'd be up for coming along on the saturday.
I've done bristol to bath a few times on a bike and once on a unicycle (but that's another story) and it's nice and flat and smooth.
I can't promise I'll be the fastest, I only picked up a longboard late last year, I need to get more practise on!

Bath Station to Temple Meads is about 15-16 miles. Essy push on a metalled path - mile or so of rough but still ok tarmac before Bitton, thigh burner of a hill about a mile after Bitton then it's a gentle (1:100) roll down into Bristol via a dampish tunnel. Great day out in the sunshine

Anyone heard of Woodwings Longboard Training Camp? Just came across it while using the Google. Looks interesting for anyone who wants to learn downhill in the Alps!

I'd be up for the Bristol to Bath skate. Also planning on going to the Summer swine stomp and Hogtoberfest this year again if anyone fancies coming along.
