I had an unexpected skate at a very sunny Clitheroe today. The car exhaust went mental last night so I booked an hour or two off work to have it fixed. The job was done in twenty minutes but I thought 'f*ck it' and told work I needed the whole day off to have it fixed. 8)
I did phone Sam to see if he fancied joining me but he was off with his wife and she had tied him up or something like that.

Not that high, rolled in off the big roll-in opposite and got a little way up the vert. Couldn't work out how to climb up to drop in of it.

Had a nice hour-ish down the bottom of my garden tonight - just before it got dark. Managed to do a few semi tricks.. Axle pivots, half arsed tail taps and whatever you call bs early grab airy things that stay bolow the coping..

Brilliant.

Topped it off with a beer. Now gonna top that off with a beer [repeat to fade].

Good skate at Crawley this morning. The park was not very busy, two of us skating the bowl with a few others having a quick run while we had a rest, then going back to the street bit. Left just after 12 completely knackered.

The past four days have been great, apart from Saturday when I had a stotting headache all day. Three hours at Clitheroe on Thursday, four hours at Runcorn on Friday, and four hours at Clithers again today. Plus the weather's been great cause of that Indian summer that I predicted, even though people poured scorn on me for saying so.
Didn't really do much new but every day was just so much fun and everything flowed nicely. Even falling off was a laugh. Brilliant! :D

(And my youngest, Amelia, finally got over her fear of busy skatparks by bombing round the place sat on my Bahari. That opens up more skating possibilities for yours truly, albiet with daughter in tow. Just need to teach her to stand on the thing now.)

just read your review trevenen,a good cure for waxed coping is to "scrub" it with old offcuts of griptape, afterwards you really have to push your grinds-plus it pisses off the fruitbooters, they can't grind without wax  they just slam a lot

skatepark in february

for some reason, the weather out here in ontario has been almost spring-like for the past week or so...unfortunately, things will be reverting back to winter this week...but fortunately, i was able to get a few runs in at waterdown skatepark (albeit navigating between piles of snow). still too cold to skate for long, but it was good to hit the concrete again. :D

had a really good 3 hour skate at meanwhile on saturday. Finally managed some decent grinds on the middle bowl and even a couple on the extension...now if only the weather was that good every weekend!

I skated Decoy today with Dom Brown.

Loved it. What a nice park. There are so many lines to take.
Just can't wait to re-visit.
