PS3 Skate Games

Ok dont know what section to put this in, whats the best PS3 Skate Game, all these wet days i need a skaate game, any recomendations?

Skate or Skate 2.

These are the best skate games out in my opinion.

defo skate and skate 2.

skate2 is just like skate but more tricks and refined game.

well worthy of a purchase.

dont be sucked into buying TH:Ride before you give it a shot first - i so so wish i had never bought the thing.

As above SKATE or SKATE 2 , plenty of cheap used copies in GAME or on the Bay. I've got TH Ride and its fun but I wouldn't have bought it myself at that price, I was lucky Santa spoils me.

looking at the post dates i dont think skate 3 was out then

skate 3 isnt as good as skate 2 IMHO. its not bad though, but they fleshed it out with just too much going on. darkslides possible now and most mullenesque behavious. skate 2 and 3 have a hardcore mode which is as tough as skating the streets themselves which may not be condusive to the fun element.

there is a skate park creator though in skate 3.

as close as he could get ....rampcity skatepark in Skate3. ive not been "yet" so how does it compare ?

I liked the TH series better than the Skate one. One reason, Skate's too difficult to me... I feel like I'm struggling to do tricks like if I'm learning new tricks on a real board, so what's the point? I may as well go out skating, right?

I guess nobody even bothered with the Shaun White series...

no that series was pap !

skate series is about the physics involved. and well its bloody incredible to be honest. i despised grinding telephone wires and roof tops and quadruple back flips with an added front flip in the TH series. but in skate series its all there at ground level and very very realistic for what it is. not to be missed of you want a skating game.

black box i had hoped would transition to snowboarding games. they could work gaming miracles there with physics and snow.

Tony Hawks games were great. I remember getting the code for the warehouse level for the first game and playing for hours. After the third one it went a bit silly. Then came skate and fucked it all up! I love the team aspect in skate. Get a team and FSU. Agreed though that the hardcore level is crazy.

I also loved the Tony Hawk series, but haven't played anything later than Underground . When I did have a go at Skate it felt quite difficult in comparison and there was clearly a learning curve to get through. Thought the TH games were more fun.

Turns out he used sk8loc8 to understand the ramp city layout!

He got it mostly correct in the street area, although the back end is too wide - but hey, who's splitting hairs!!!

The street part at the beginning is really well done, especially the newer section that woody and Derek added a while back.

Man, I miss going to RC gonna have to sort me out a trip up at Xmas
