Parks Near Torquay

Going to Parkdean holiday park in Torquay next week.

Need to know whats worth checking out while im there.

according to sk8loc8, there is the following nearby....

* Hele
* Buckland
* Decoy
* Teignmouth
* Paignton seafront
* Paignton Plaza
* Ipplepen
* Denbury
* Galmpton
* Dawlish skate park
* Brixham
* Borough Park
* Ashburton
* The Cemetary Extension
* Phear Park
* buckfastleigh skate park
* Exminster skatepark

Some of it has detailed info but not all of it.

im more interested in vert ramps and bowls/parks 7ft and above.

if anyone has any advice to offer i would be most grateful 8)

Vert? You'll be lucky... I guess your best bet is Decoy bowl in Newton Abbott. It' about hmmm 6 or 7 in the extensions but smallish mostly. Nice combi/flow bowl though just go there weekday earlyish to get it quiet, it's a BMX led project and as such very popular with the bikes.

Dawlish apparently has a nice mini, I've not been.
Teignmouth has a newly finished plaza type thingy.

Other than that you could zoom down to Plymouth and join us at Prime. Nice transition in the back room. 4ft hipped to 6ft mini. Couldn't find a recent pic but you get the idea:

Also depends how far you are willing to drive, if you have a full day of skate time there are many more options further West, I'll be happy to join you for a tour. ;) PM me if you like the sound of that.

yea i kinda thought that might be the case :lol:

i checked out a vid of Decoy and it looks really good. was full of bmxers though like you say!

defo like the sound of that, although i gotta play it by ear cos its a family holiday and there is 8 of us, so might be difficult to get away and make a day of it.

will be in touch for sure if i get the opportunity 8)

you could always pop to exeter and come visit..
then the kids can have xbox and stuff and our girlies can have a chat we an sneak off for a skate at flowerpot park ;-)
and a barbecue when we get back...

When I was down ther building teignmouth we had two great missions and was well skated out , top SW host big kid
