Trampoline - Help learning tricks?

During Josh Kalis Epicly Latered show at 11.40 mins it got me thinking.

Would it help to get the technique or is it a case of taking it to the pavements with wheels/trucks etc. just mean your leaning it twice.

I'm sure getting the flip bit right helps, but I'm not entirely sure that doing it on a trampoline helps for a whole load of reasons, the main one being that Conctete/tarmack!....Not Bouncy. If it helps getting the flip right, then go for it, it might also help with trying to land centred on the board.

Great way to end up with nothing below the neck except memories.

I can forward flip on a trampoline but they are bloody dangerous!
Is this where I am supposed to write something witty?

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when my fear is gone I will turn and face fear's path, and only I will remain.

I don't know about a trampoline, but get a balance board! Try it in the I'm a spammy wanker - but not too near to anything smashable. Learn to balance on it. Learn shuvits and ollies on it. And the real furniture-destroyer is frontside 360s. But it does wonders for your balance. I've got a Vew-Do Sk8.

I had to google what a Vew-Do Sk8 was, 120 quid for a pretend skateboard ..... fuck that.

Re: Trampoline - Help learning tricks?

Yes, but when it's raining or dark in the winter, or you just have 10 mins it's good practice. Old deck and can/coke bottle has been suggested but you can't do kickturns etc on it because it doesn't have the rail & groove structure a balance board has. I spent over £100 on mine because I like the things and they work for me - but I got my first no-brand board off of Ebay for around £25. There's a brand called Scrub that you can get cheapish (a quick look today and there are several ranging from £10 to £45)
