Oooh me ribs 2

Hung up on a stupid fakie rock (its always the easy stuff innit?). Landed flat, but my elbow dug into my ribs. Immediate pain. No visible bruising (so I couldn't show it off), but it hurts. My ribs or ankles are what I always hurt.

Oh well, need to rejoin the regular world for a few days anyway.

How are yours so far?

I'm four days in. They're better, but picking up my son is keeping them sore. I hope this doesn't last a full month like most things I've read say they will.

ribs take 1 month. doing things that make them sore will stop them from getting better. Look on the bright side - ribs heal nicely with no long term problems :)

I'm not a fan of entering spring not on a skateboard, but you're right. I think I've actually gotten fatter in the last four days because I've barely moved at all other than picking up the kid and hurting the ribs more.

It was a month ...... they were just settling down and then i stupidly landed on them again adding another few days to recovery time not to mention the small child who insists on beating on them with anything available usually in the middle of the night

Re: Oooh me ribs 2

Rib didn't feel too bad so I went skating tonight. Kept it simple with some little grinds and rock n rolls. Was fun, but I know I'll feel it tomorrow.

it's pretty much alright now - proper agony for a good week tho

Did nothing other than tear and inflame one of the muscles between my ribs - intercostal distress the doctor called it.
6 weeks of agony.

I couldn't push when I went to the bog so ended up with quite bad constipation! had to go back to the GP to get some super strength laxatives which worked a treat!

Chris, If you're ever in that situation again, why not try several pints of farmhouse rough cider - laxative and pain killer in one... :D
