You knew it was coming and now its time to sack up.
It was going to be a tail stall, but guess what the set up for that one is...........

Damn this is going to rattle some cages!

One of my faves and stock-in-trade. Love 'em, up to the nuts.
On anything up to 6 or 7 footers.

I have a tail grab variation that I may chuck in just for laughs, I'll do a proper one too of course. 8)

Bloody hell did you do the add-a-trick run with every other trick you could think of on the end just so you'd have it ready?

And yes, you have to do it again. 8)
Thank god it is a rock fakie though, anything backside was going to see us run out of ramp for the add-a-trick sub-comp. :?

Re: Game of SKATE Transition - Rock to fakie

I've always thought the whole point of this thread was to a) learn what the trick set is then b) go out with the express purpose of trying and filming that trick.
But I suppose as long as most people are doing that it serves its purpose.

Furthermore: as long as the trick you set is something from fakie to help us out in the add-a-trick thread. Preferrably 360 RnR slide or similar.

I am re learning them mate, as in stepping up to bigger stuff. Got them on micros and mini's but now learning them on the big 8 footer at R-Kade

Personally I am glad this has been set as alot of MASsers struggle with them and surely the more vids the better will spur people on and get them stoked to beat the fear.

I agree trev , i was checking the website constantly before i went out , but nowt so i just filmed some stuff hoping the trick set would be amongst what i filmed . Not exactly in the spirit i know , so whoever gets the next vid up can do the set for next week if everyone thinks thats a little more fair :)

Just wondering if my rock fakie is gonna count for the set seeing as it was filmed without knowing what the trick for this week was or is the set gonna fall to Jase .

Well, opinions are like assholes...

I suppose in times of crisis the rule could be, defer to the 'setter', in this case Ben G.

See how I passed the buck? Setter to call good/fail on posted attempts too, so over to you Ben. ;)
I will probably film mine on Monday night unless I get out tomorrow. Will try for add-a-trick too. 8)

You clearly have that one in the bag irrespective of when and where you film it.

Well.. come Friday it's up to you.. lets see what you've got.

To help out the add-a-trick devotees how about something FROM fakie? Would keep people doing the rock fakie to set up.
But would of course penalise those who didn't manage it for this round. :?

Totally up to you, we can shove a flat bottom revert in and make do. 8)

Oh definitely. Got mine laid down tonight but tomorrow should be a blast.

EDIT - here you go.. once Vimeo has proccessed it.
Thought I'd do a few variations. Well, they are all strictly rock fakies. 8)

Standard - up to nuts - tailgrab - fakie 180 in.

I love watching Mike and John do all sorts of little rock to smith to feeble etc. combinations at the WORKS, they look like simple little moves but take alot of balance and foot control.

Here's mine - not a patch on the tech variations being dished out, but the first few have a definite rock rather than the pair of just trucks over coping left on at the end.

This round closed now... results going up as I type.

Sadly we are seeing a few people losing all their lives this round.
Next round may see a couple more.. time to separate the wheat from the chaff. 8)

EDIT - another letter for Mick Erskine!? Although he redeemed by being the only person so far to do the BS revert. (AW)

EDIT2 - Andy, you forgot to do yours again? Gahh.
