Trick list

I was thinking would it be usefull to pull together a list of tricks and what they are. I feel like i have forgotten most i learnt back in the day and any i can remember i have no idea on the name.

I thought a list would be a good idea. Any thoughts? Shit idea or set something up

While we are on it what is 180 off the nose to end with the back trucks on the platform and front ones on the ramp

I was not sure on the disaster part. I thought you had to olie into that backwards. If you roll in backwards is it still a disaster?

EDIT2 - doh

chesterweirdo wrote:Yep like that but not on the trucks.

In that case yes - Garden Gate. Carl does them frontside routinely I think. Not sure whether it's just their name for it though.

EDIT - depends, do you mean pivoting on the nose truck on the coping? That's a New Deal.

so, in the video above, those are new deals?

chesterweirdo wrote:If you roll in backwards is it still a disaster?

i guess if you roll in, it's not a disaster. disaster's more lifting the trucks on the deck to clear the coping, right?

SOME of those are new deals, I'd say about 0:49 in the video, I think the first set are done from fakie and he's regular footed.

For me a disaster means on the rails with the front trucks in the ramp, back trucks on the deck. The other way would be umm roll in to rock fakie? :?

Re: Trick list

If you build it.. they will come.

I have created a Wikia page for us to endlessly update, tweak and make definitive.

http://skateboardtricklist.wikia.com/wi ... _List_Wiki

You have to sign up for a Wikia account but then pretty much anyone can edit stuff. Of course I as the admin can always restore pages if they are deleted or vandalised. (i.e. Alva invented xxxx) pretty standard for a Wiki thing. Also of course I can add others as admins too.. volunteers? Need to be at least a little bit tech savvy but the help pages are really good and it's really no harder than making documents in word.

Go for it! 8)

Re: Trick list

only just seen this , cool an geeky at the same tiime . MAS down to a T  the trick in the vid i would say was a pivet to disaster, off the front truck or the back, but the realy cool thing is that could be done 4 ways eh ! front truck fs front truck bs back truck fs back truck bs !! right off to get them sorted on the mini right now . oh an i thought New Deal was a pivet on the front truck and then strait in to the trany , ie no putting the back truck down on the deck ?
