oooh... me back hurts....
Having been heavily into the longboard since I started up again, I made an effort over the last couple of weeks to get comfortable on my "normal" board. I've been doing alright too, tootling about steadily and practicing my kick turns and going down ramps and what have you.
Inspired by the sight of established MASers shredding up the pool at Clifton the other week I decided to try dropping in on the mini quarter at Chesterfield the other day. I have never tried it before. I am well up for rattling the tiles and carving lines around pools and bowls but it's quite obvious that not being able to drop in is a rather limiting factor....
Anyway, after hitting the deck twice very hard I decided to have a rest from dropping in for a bit. It really bloody hurts.
It has taught me a valuable lesson though - you need MASSIVE balls to commit 100% to getting the front of the board down.
