Lovely looking deck !! 8)
What's the wheelbase ?
If you're gonna bomb hills on it , would reverse geom. trucks be better suited ?

I haven't really had the chance to try it out yet, shitty weather and a shocking cold.

I dont really understand what the reverse geo trucks would do, can anyone explain

Cheers

don't worry about reverse for now that's all in the future , if you have reputable trucks you are fine . find yourself a nice hill and test her out . ..-

Yeah Andy they work slightly differently. they only paddle back and forth on the kingpin instead of turning around the kingpin as well. look them up, eg randal, sabre, and many others. those two are the ones i've used. but that board should be fine for the bowl.

Not sure about Indys. My first bigger board had them on and at 23mph i shit my pants.

Theres a group of Nottingham longboarders on facebook. We made the trip up from Leicester to some great steep roads right near the center of the city. Gnarly in the dry but when wet you can slide virtually from the off.
Shut up and skate.

Really nice setup.

Indys are good trucks for cruising but really good for sliding because of the lower centre of gravity they provide

Re: New to longboarding, just set this up

Indys are the only truck id consider using on my skateboards, and they did work well for slower sliding on my Lush globe deck.

But they really dont suit me for going quick. Have now got a proper downhill setup with Sabres and at nearly 40mph they just feel much safer.
Shut up and skate.

Re: New to longboarding, just set this up

Indys are great on longboards especially if you have the kingpin conversion down. Low and carvy. Earthwing decks are designed around using Indys but have now slightly modified them to accomodate RKP trucks
