"Bob's got a pump."
In fact.. I'VE got a pump these days.
Bloody decent one too, must do a few hundred gallons a minute, it fills the huge bowser we water the greens with in 5 minutes!
Keep us up to date about the pool. I checked out loads in Newquay a couple of years ago after some google maps surfing.. nothing doing unfortunately, apart from one possible that had been demolished when I went back the second time to properly scope it.

Re: Disused pool
back home now , and didnt get a chance to skate, popped to phillips pasties in hayle yesterday morning and was hoping for quick skate round hayle bowl before the drive back to london but it was raining,
heres a link on google maps to show the pool.
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=newquay ... m&t=h&z=19
its just to the left of the travelodge on the cliff edge but looks safe enough,

last photo is from hotel room, the others are from climbing up the grass bank and holding my phone over top of wall and clicking blindly, I had the impression that from the shape tha the edges would be straight down to flat bottom rather then rounded,

Re: Disused pool
Newlyn.. do you mean Penzance bowl? I don't know of one in Newlyn (West)
Newlyn East (near Newquay) is in the process of getting a new one.
Penzance bowl is on the Trenere estate, it's all on www.skatecornwall.com

Re: Disused pool
Hotel california in newquay has an epic pool with very skateable transitions but is full of water, it is drained for cleaning once a year. same applies to Bedruthan steps hotel.
Had a look at the one first posted in this thread a few years ago when it was half full and the water wasnt black, if you had a massive pump and a lot of energy you could make it skateable....shopping trollys and masonry at the bottom though.
