How Loooow can you go?

Bought meself some Bones hard cores for my Indy 139 lows and I'll be buggered if I can get the top washer fitted as per
bones instructions.
Having measured the kingpin on these and my standard 149's, the 139's kp is about 8mm shorter than standard
which I guess would explain the above. My 'solution' is to omit the top washer and I can justabout get the nut to
bite, I put in some tictack action around Asda's car park last nite without any untoward 'happenings', any of you
Hero's foresee any problems? A prize go's to the first to observe "Numpty you can buy specific low type bushes"
cos I hope that isn't the case.

You can get low ones but Bones work fine without a top washer.

Had a similar problem with using bones hardcore on tensor mids, had to use the original bottom bushing to get them to sit right,thought about cutting them down,accurately like that would work ,me thinks ,hold em flat on a Sander or something !

Busta - low trucks - why?

They have smaller bushes as standard and therefore most bushes don't fit well or at all. You have to get the right bushes for those. Yes you can ride Bones bushes without a washer, just don't tighten the KP nut to much.

The Thunder lows I got in my attempt to ride a standard street popsicle never felt right until I got some Khiro low bushings in my standard 85A hardness. They're not very common on this side of the pond, but perhaps some other brand of lows.

For all the alchemy that goes into bushing selection, a lot of it is just size and fit.

Had a problem trying to fit aftermarket indy bushings, in my indys?! (apparently not uncommon at the time) Couldn't get the top washer on, so I cranked the nut down and rode the board around for a bit, wacked the nut off and quickly put on the washer and nut. Worked a treat as the bushing had compressed slightly allowing just enough time and space.
