Copers

Advanced apologies if this has already been covered, folks.
Looking for copers for my pigs.
Does anyone know if these will fit new sixtrack/9" Trackers?

I see they come with the extensions for the sixtracks. Anyone tried?

How about Indies, anyone got copers for wide Indies?

Never tried them but 161's are 3/8" wider than Sixtraks.

How wide an Indy and what stage?
Don't think that Indy Grindmasters </pedant> will fit newer than about a stage 4.

Indies, I just checked and I don't think any coper will fit them. Stage 10, 215. Way too big.

Pretty sure that the 215 hanger hasn't changed since stage 4 (could be wrong) you might be able to make some from plastic pipe.

Alec is correct. Indy haven't changed the 215 hanger since Stage 4. Tracker copers won't work on Indy's and you could try a piece if pipe if you can source the correct internal diameter.

You do see copers that will fit Indys on e-bay but they are usually labelled Santa Cruz (basically the same) but they aren't plentiful if your looking for wide Indy's, they are no more than 5".

Not sure why you want copers unless your building an old school complete, and if its a rider I just wouldn't bother with them at all, they fall off.

I should have kept the question more specific to the first part of my post:

I suspect that newer sixtrack's are slightly wider than older versions, or something like that.

I could have been more specific and said that current trucks marketed as Sixtracks are know as 161 Sixtrtacks these are 9.125"
The original Sixtracks were 8.75" therefore 3/8" narrower, I'm not 100% sure that the copers will fit as the adaptors won't be deep enough to hold the coper on once they are on the ends of the wider hanger.
That being said it's only 3/16" each side and it's for a wall hanger.

Not making this any easier am I?

At a tenner a pop not cheap if they don't, I guess somebody who works in an engineering company might be able to get some slightly deeper adaptors knocked up for you if they don't

So, I'm on the lookout for the older 8.75" Sixtracks. I bet they are not going to be easy to find?

Actually my mistake they are 8.78" according to the Tracker website (whats 0.03" anyway)

There are some Classic Sixtacks listed on ebay.



they also come with the Ultralight baseplate

There are also some that Toddtwist has listed incorrectly as 9"

I managed to find some Sixtrack classics with aluminium bottom plates.




Thinking of putting them on a Salba reissue, but they fit Bowman well too

Both look good with those wheels but Salba rode Independents, always has. If you want to make a time correct, rider inspired set up.

Here you go Tracker sixtrack magnesiums with Copers & lapper from about 1985 ish I think



I was still using the Magnesium sixtracks inc copers (with a newer deck & wheels) when I had to give up skating in 1987 & used the same board for a while on my return, can't locate any pics of that at present but still have it
