Postby AliFish » Thu Aug 30, 2012 3:35 pm

all i know is i bought it from a very skint swiss guy a few years back. 70 euros.

im wondering what year it was issued. and if its worth much, people constantly stop me on the mountains and comment (in alien languages), some of there eyes even pop out their skulls ! so i figured it might be. having tried google somewhat im still blank.

not that i can find. but yes any carbon fibre is worth 70 lol.

the board is epic awesome !, the pop u get from CF is just incredible and the rigidity and control on the carve is definetly better than ive experienced on other boards.

its hard to see,can you post a pick of the side or the edges centrally,

it looks like a stiff all-mountain board - what is the size? how heavy are you?

its probably worth what you paid for it, quite a few top boards have carbon. I buy all my ski and snowboard gear off ebay. Basically this or last years must have model go for near new prices. Everything else is more resonable and depends on age and condition. Some of the top brands and sort after higher priced carbon free ride boards can fetch £200-£300 but thats because they retail at £600+ If you look around and wait you can pick up some real bargains I got a near new condition Active Carbon HEAD board for £55 (retail £750) that stiffnens up as you go faster, their PRO team is underated so no one else bid. And some awesome that season K2 Charger skis with 2 weeks use for £135 (retail £600) Unless you are buying from a seasonaire you if you buy in the UK it won't have much use, unlike abroad where they may be shredding every weekend. Snowboards are like skate decks some peeps just feel they need more than one :D

Seems to be this company www.radical-sports.com

That's seven-ply-- seven layers of a thin veneer...
that are bonded together, cross-grain...
to form a board that's practically indestructible.

well i walked out my job in furious anger, every day since ive cycled 30-40 miles a day, few km`s on the longboard every week. walking loads too. stopped smoking that stuff. healthy diet changes. and voila, its falling off. right now im in a nice pair of airwalk canvas pants which i aint been able to fit into for 15 years lol. its fantastic. and whats more when i go to the eiger in grindelwald for some boarding this year, im gona so hammer them slopes.

the board is fully cap rather than sandwich construction, so stiffer & more durable
probably pretty decent for blasting the slopes, a bit small for your weight now but if it keeps coming off 159 will suit you fine and stay nice n stable at speed

im 171 in height, not much bigger than the board itself. i learned on the board next to it, santa cruz 150. the 159 did feel a bit to long unless bombing it was your thing. going into fakie is scary on it though.

To be honest, a collector may go to £100 for it, but it's old technology now. Although its a 159 a modern 155 probably has more active edge because the big nose and tail shape has been done away with. This also allows for a stiffer core as its shorter. There is also more choice in board camber now; or any choice as is the case with your board as it looks super flat.

Explained here: http://www.snowboard-review.com/snowboard_guide/
